Introductions

Hello, I'm

. I started playing Predaplant (and Duel Links overall) when I saw that one of my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh! characters, Yuri, was making his debut in the game. I built the deck and instantly fell in love with it. I found myself playing game after game with the deck without ever getting tired of it. Soon enough, I got King of Games in the first month of its release despite never really touching Yu-Gi-Oh! before! I still play the deck to this day and want to share my love for it in the form of a guide.

Core Cards

Main Deck Monsters

Predaplant Ophrys Scorpio

This is one of the starters of the deck, and it is usually the second card to search for with the skill. It can summon a Predaplant monster from the deck by discarding a monster card, generating more bodies on the field for your plays.

Even though it's the UR card of the archetype, you can get away with only playing one copy thanks to its searchability through the skill. But, having more copies allows you to get the ideal opening of Scorpio + Byblisp more often.

Predaplant Byblisp

This is the other starter of the deck and is the main card to search for with the skill. When it's sent to the Graveyard (usually through the Loading... from the skill or Loading... ), you can add a Predaplant monster from your deck to your hand.

Byblisp can also become an additional body on the field by summoning itself from the graveyard if an opposing monster has a Predator counter. This is one of the most important effects in the deck for generating bodies on your field and is explained more in the "GO SECOND" section.

Predaplant Darlingtonia Cobra

This card's role is to be special summoned by Loading... or Loading... ' effects to then add a "Fusion" or "Polymerization" spell from your deck to your hand (but only once per duel). You play 2 copies, because the card becomes dead if you draw it. If you draw both copies, then tough luck...

Predaplant Sarraceniant

This is the deck's main defense. It is often what stops your opponent from pushing for lethal thanks to its ability to special summon itself during a direct attack. In addition, if the opponent still chooses to continue their attack, then Sarraceniant allows you to destroy the opponent's monster after the battle and then add a "Predap" card from your deck to your hand upon its own destruction.

It can also search a card if it is sent to the graveyard from the field by any card effect, including the effects of Loading... and any Fusion spell. Note that while it can search if it is used as a Fusion material on the field, it cannot do so if it is used as Link or XYZ material.
